Changes in hepatic δ‐aminolevulinic acid in lead‐intoxicated rats

The amount of δ‐aminolevulinic acid (ALA) increased four times in the lead‐intoxicated rats compared with the controls. The apparent formation of ALA in the liver homogenate of lead‐intoxicated rats was increased by addition of EDTA.
