Abstract
The key findings from a thematic analysis of the information requests from adult cancer patients and their caregivers at a cancer center library in Western Canada are (Citation1) the pivotal role of the cancer center librarian in mediating information requests; (Citation2) that the information needs of adult cancer patients and their caregivers focus primarily on the need for basic biomedical information concerning diagnosis and treatment; and (Citation3) the importance of the Web as a source of cancer information for uncommon and rare cancers.
