Erratum

An article by Nadine P. Ellero entitled “Crossing Over: Health Sciences Librarians Contributing and Collaborating on Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Implementation,” contained an error when published in issue 9(1) of the Journal of Hospital Librarianship.

The error is on page 102, second paragraph under the header: “Librarian participation at other institutions.” The author mentioned a figure twice in error and should have re-worded the last sentence to make the meaning clearer.

Published as:

“Figure 1 includes charts showing the tabulated results for the participants, summary by library type, EMR activities reported, summary by current job position, and summary of new primary role reported. The total number of responses obtained were, 180 with 57 or 32% showing interest in being involved in EMR activities, 29 or 16% reported current involvement, 10 or 6% indicated past involvement, and 57 or 32% reported that they would like to be involved. Combining all overall interest and past activity there was a significant impact of 53%.”

Correction as per the author:

“Figure 1 includes charts showing the tabulated results for the participants, summary by library type, EMR activities reported, summary by current job position, and summary of new primary role reported. The total number of responses obtained were, 180 with 57 or 32% showing interest in being involved in EMR activities, 29 or 16% reported current involvement, and 10 or 6% indicated past involvement. Combining interest, current involvement and past activity there was a significant impact of 53%.”
