Restoring Access to Electronic Resources after an Unexpected IP Range Change

Abstract

This article describes the authors' experience restoring access to electronic resources when a hospital's Internet protocol ranges were unexpectedly changed without warning to the hospital librarian. Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is on an academic medical center campus and the hospital library is managed by the Medical College of Wisconsin. The plan for restoration and the problems experienced are described.
