Abstract
The book selection process in hospital libraries has changed as collections have moved from print to electronic formats. The routine aids to help in the process have disappeared and hospital librarians have been struggling individually and collectively to identify the books that belong on their shelves. The author used a variety of methods to solicit input from library users and also used other sources to compile a list of books that her library will keep in the most current print edition. The article describes the process and includes the book list.
Acknowledgments
The author thanks colleagues Jeannine Cyr-Gluck, Eastern Connecticut Health Network, and Donna Beales, Lowell General Hospital, for their suggestions and support in this project.
