Abstract

With the increasing awareness and research invested into the field of performing arts medicine, musicians and health care professionals seeking information about performance-related injuries have access to a rapidly growing array of resources and databases. Health information specialists can have an immense beneficial impact by introducing these resources as well as by providing training and assistance in the navigation and evaluation of the contained health information. The following article presents an overview of resources available to assist musicians and health care professionals as they seek to prevent, adjust to, or recover from their injuries.
