Peter Merrotsy
Peter Merrotsy: After 18 years as a teacher and head teacher of mathematics in rural Australia, Peter was appointed to the University of New England in 2004. He is Senior Lecturer in Gifted and Talented Education, Associate Director, Student Diversity Education, at The National Centre of Science, Information and Communication Technology, and Mathematics Education for Rural and Regional Australia SiMERR, and Editor of the journal TalentEd. His research focuses on gifted children from backgrounds of disadvantage (low socio-economic status, cultural minority status, rural and isolated contexts, refugees, and youth in juvenile justice).
