Abstract

Migrant workers in the United States have a well-documented history of struggle. This research explored the perspectives of a select group of middle school Latino migrant students in terms of their education in the United States. The research used qualitative and quantitative data gathered from a focus group session and a survey that explored the experiences of these students in the United States. Results of this study indicate that trust in educators is an issue for middle school migrant students, who tend to trust teachers of Latino heritage more than those of a different background.
