Abstract
This essay examines The Character of Justice: Rhetoric, Law and Politics in the Supreme Court Confirmation Process (2007) written by Trevor Parry-Giles, an award winner of the National Communication Association Diamond Book Award. This essay explains the historical, philosophical, and interpretive significance of the book for the engagement of political rhetoric. Additionally, Parry-Giles gives us insight into the actual doing of an interpretive project, which resulted in the prestigious NCA award.
