Abstract
Two co‐crystals of individual isomers of higher fullerenes C76‐D2 and C78(2)‐C2v with Ag‐ and Cu‐tetraphenylporphyrines were obtained using the temperature difference crystal growth technique and investigated by means of single crystal X‐ray analysis. The C‐C connectivity of C78(2) as well as its bond ordering have been confirmed crystallographically for the first time. It was demonstrated that metalloporphyrines may serve as a universal co‐crystal agent able to orientationally fix pristine higher fullerenes in the crystal lattice.
