RETRACTED ARTICLE: Efficient synthesis and characterization of C60 and C70 acetylacetone monoadducts for photochemical applications

Pages 556-566 | Received 07 Dec 2020, Accepted 22 Dec 2020, Published online: 31 Dec 2020

Abstract

We, the Editors and Publisher of the journal Fullerenes, Nanotubes and Carbon Nanostructures, have retracted the following article:

Helena Iuele & Sergio Alejandro Torres-Cortés (2021) Efficient synthesis and characterization of C60 and C70 acetylacetone monoadducts for photochemical applications. Fullerenes, Nanotubes and Carbon Nanostructures, 29 (7), 556–566, DOI: 10.1080/1536383X.2020.1868997

Since publication, concerns were raised that this article is a duplication of the following original publication by the same authors.

A. Duarte-Ruiz, H. Iuele, S. A. Torres-Cortés, A. Meléndez, J. D. Velásquez, M. N. Chaur (2021) Synthesis and characterization of C60 and C70 acetylace-tone monoadducts and study of their photochemical properties for potential application in solar cells. Revista Colombiana de Química, 29 (7), 556–566, DOI: 10.15446/rev.colomb.quim.v50n1.88545

While we accept some content was revised from the original publication, most of the figures used remain the same and there are no significant changes made from the original publication to warrant republication. The authors don’t agree with our decision to retract.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
