Abstract
In this work, nanoporous carbon material from plant-based raw materials was obtained by multiple thermochemical activation. The effect of multiple chemical activation on the morphological, porous and electrochemical properties of the obtained carbon material was investigated. The results show that chemically activated nanoporous carbon material has 4–5 times larger specific surface area (SBET = 1286 m2/g) and developed pore system. Multiple chemical activation improves the specific electrochemical characteristics of the carbon material, namely, the maximum value of specific capacitance at discharge current 1 mA reaches 183 F/g, twice as high as for the once-activated carbon material.
