Published online: 05 Mar 2024

ABSTRACT

The present study is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research in order to determine the impact on virtual teaching and learning methods, particularly in technical courses. The research is an attempt to demonstrate that the tools, practices, methodology, and so on that have been used are ineffective for technical courses because they require practical exposure. The researcher focuses on identifying the students’ preferred aspects of dealing with technical courses and virtual teaching learning practices in the aftermath of the pandemic. The SPSS 20 version software is used to perform a chi-square test to determine the impact of virtual teaching and learning activities on technical courses. Cross-sectional survey design has been conducted to investigate online and offline teaching pedagogy and its effective implementations in technical universities. Total 468 students participated in the survey. The research identifies useful recommendations that, likely in the form of blended learning, strike a balance between in-person and online learning. These recommendations could be taken into consideration by the key stakeholders in order to create a viable educational system for the future.
