Statement of Retraction: Health effects of living near mobile phone base transceiver station (BTS) antennae: a report from Isfahan, Iran.

This article refers to:
RETRACTED ARTICLE: Health Effects of Living near Mobile Phone Base Transceiver Station (BTS) Antennae: A Report from Isfahan, Iran

We, the Editors and Publishers of Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine, have retracted the following article:

Daryoush Shahbazi-Gahrouei, Mojtaba Karbalae, Habib allah Moradi & Milad Baradaran-Ghahfarokhi (2013) Health effects of living near mobile phone base transceiver station (BTS) antennae: a report from Isfahan, Iran, Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine, 33:3, 206–210, DOI: 10.3109/15368378.2013.801352

Subsequent to publication it has been determined that the article contains overlap in the data presented in the results section with:

Shahab A. Alazawi (2011) Mobile Phone Base Stations Health Effects, Diyala Journal of Medicine, 1:1, 44–52.

Although the authors cited the above-mentioned article by Shahab A. Alazawi in the methods, there was no clear explanation in the results and discussion sections that comparison data were used and that this was a comparison study.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
