Abstract
In this article, the dynamic response of the curved Fiber-Metal-Laminate sandwich beam with flexible core, under low-velocity impact on the top of the face sheet, is investigated. Higher order shear deformation theory is used and strain-displacement, stress-strain equations, and compatibility conditions between the core and face sheets are applied to obtain the displacement field of the core. The results of model are compared with the results of ABAQUS simulation and the latest researches. The effects of beam curvature angle, core thickness, and its modulus of elasticity, mass and velocity of impactor on radial displacements and contact force histories are reviewed.
