Abstract
In this approach, acoustic response of a Magneto-electro-elasticity (MEE) shell structure is determined using three-dimensional (3D) theory of elasticity. The structure is composed of a curved shell system with both curvatures subjected to MEE materials as a coating layer. Unlike the single-phase piezoelectric and piezomagnetic materials, they involve more electromagnetic properties. Considering the state vector, a solution strategy is presented based on the approximate layer and local transfer matrix methods. In the result’s section, not only the importance of using a triple-phase material is highlighted but also the effect of different terms on sound transmission loss (STL) of the system is inspected.
