Abstract

The main objective of this research is to make a mathematical modeling of photothermal wave propagation in a semiconducting medium due to Lord-Shulman (L-S) theory with diffusion and rotation effects. Firstly, the governing equations are given based on generalized thermoelasticity with one relaxation time, diffusion effect, and the entire medium is rotated with a steady angular velocity. Then, applying the harmonic method (normal mode technique), the solution of the dissipation equation and the expressions for components of the displacement, stress, diffusion, carrier density, and temperature are considered and calculated numerically. Finally, the influences of the rotation and diffusion effects are illustrated graphically which are pronounced on the different physical quantities.
