Abstract

The New Zealand Ministry of Health coordinates New Zealand's health and disability system. In addition, the Ministry of Health seeks to be a “trusted and respected source of reliable and useful information about health and disability matters for all New Zealanders and the wider international community.” To meet that goal, the Ministry of Health's website provides a number of useful consumer health resources. Highlights include the following sections: Health Topics A–Z, Data and Statistics, Consumer Health Information, and a Health Education Resource Catalog. Better promotion on the home page of the Ministry of Health's newly redesigned website and on social media platforms could help increase the public's awareness of these useful resources.
