Abstract
Although rates have declined since the early 1990s, adolescent pregnancy remains a public health concern in the United States. Adolescent pregnancy and childbirth have various adverse health, social, and economic effects on mother, father, and child. Comprehensive sex education including discussions of abstinence and birth control are effective in modifying sexual behaviors and opinions in adolescents. The web sites reviewed in this article are designed for use by the layperson and may be used by adolescents and their parents and educators to promote safe and healthy sexual relationships.
