Abstract
FamilyConnect.org is a non-profit offshoot of the American Printing House for the Blind (APH). APH offers several landing sites of information, and FamilyConnect’s focus is on providing information and resources for families of children with blindness or visual impairment. This site spans topics ranging from specific conditions, age-related information, advocacy and accessibility in technology, literacy, and education, and family education through webinars and blog posts. FamilyConnect is an excellent resource for families at any information-seeking stage, whether they are new to living life with a child with blindness or a visual impairment, or have been living and learning for some time. Blind may be different, but different is not bad. This site does an excellent job of staying positive, uplifting, and forward-moving.
