ABSTRACT

Counselors are most effective when they approach client concerns through a multicultural lens. Educators can utilize creative classroom activities with students to promote cultural competence and broaden worldviews for counselors in training. This paper will present classroom activities and assignments for developing cultural competence while encouraging creative thinking in beginning counselors.
