Automating Repetitive Tasks: Getting Started with Hotkeys

ABSTRACT

Many workplace tasks require the user to repeat a series of computer tasks in a specified order with a minimal amount of deviation or thought. While automating these tasks could increase speed and accuracy, the resources needed to apply a full-featured programming language may be prohibitive. Fortunately, there are a large number of solutions combining an easy learning curve, simple implementation, and low cost. This article demonstrates the use of hotkeys to perform certain common tasks.
