Abstract

Many medical and health science librarians are involved in finding systematic reviews through literature searches. In addition, librarians also work on creating new systematic reviews through cooperative research endeavors. Epistemonikos is a free database that is effective for locating systematic reviews in the biomedical field. While the database is more limited in content and lacks some of the features that paid databases like Embase and Scopus offer, Epistemonikos is a useful complementary tool for retrieving and analyzing systematic reviews.
