Spirituality and religion in graduate social work education

Summary.

Recognition is growing of the relevance of spirituality to social work practice, which has led to recommendations that spiritual and religious content be included in the M.S.W. curriculum. This article will review the literature on religious and spiritual content in social work education, report the results of a study of the development of spirituality‐related courses in M.S.W. programs, and discuss the implications of this research for curriculum development.
