Abstract

In 2009, the mean age of Catholic priests was 63. This study investigated Catholic priests and their ideas about retirement and work following the scandals of 2002 through the use of structured interviews. In general, respondents were satisfied with their ministries, but most respondents were concerned about when they would be able to retire and their financial situation in retirement.
