Being Human in Hard Times: Disturbing Trends and Signs of Hope

As our editorial term comes to an end in 2018, we want to convey what an honor it has been to have led the journal these past four years. It has been our hope to foster its interdisciplinary appeal and international visibility, and to offer a strong and compelling collection of issues that will advance knowledge and its application in the field of developmental sciences. We are grateful to the leadership of the Society for the Study of Human Development (SSHD) for their support, and to Laura Arreola for her incredible assistance in managing the journal. We are pleased to announce Michael Cunningham, of Tulane University, as the incoming editor for 2019.
