Performance Enhancement of Natural Dyes Extracted from Acacia Bark Using Eco-Friendly Cross-Linker for Cotton

ABSTRACT

Natural dyes are environment friendly in nature and cannot cause any harmful effects as is the case with most of the synthetic dyes. Nevertheless, most of the natural dyes exhibited weak interaction between fabric and natural dye, which resulted in poor shade depth and durability problems for cotton fabric. This research work is an endeavor to apply natural dyes in combination with eco-friendly cross-linker to enhance the durability and performance of natural dyes. Moreover, pH of the dyeing solution imparted significant effect on color characteristics of fabrics dyed with acacia dye.

使用环保交联剂从相思树皮中提取用于印染棉的天然染料性能增强

天然染料是环境友好的性质，不能引起任何像大多数合成染料带来有害的效果。尽管如此，大部分天然染料在织物和天然染料之间表现出相互弱的作用，造成了棉织物的色泽深度差和耐久性问题。这项研究工作是结合运用天然染料与生态友好的交联剂以提高耐用性和天然染料的性能的努力。染色溶液的PH值对染料染色织物的颜色特征有显著影响。
