We are pleased to introduce our special issue on the 2016 US presidential election and the GLBTQ community. The articles in this special issue represent the work of scholars in communication, gender and women's studies, nursing, political science, public health, psychiatry, psychology, social and cultural analysis, and social work. The special issue includes both qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods and interdisciplinary approaches.
Our articles move topically from a discussion of the US presidential election and the GLBTQ community at the system level (Spencer & Sayre, 2018; Swank, 2018; Chan, 2018), family level (Gonzalez, Pulice-Farrow, & Galupo, 2018; Lannutti, 2018), and individual level (Brown & Keller, 2018; Gonzalez, Ramirez, & Galupo, 2018; Riggle, Rostosky, Drabble, Veldhuis, & Hughes, 2018).
