Boleslaw Z. Kabala
Boleslaw “Bolek” Z. Kabala is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Government, Legal Studies, and Philosophy at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. Earlier he taught in the Political Science Department in the School of International and Public Affairs at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina and held the appointment of Thomas W. Smith Postdoctoral Research Associate in James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University. In 2016 he graduated from Yale with his PhD in Political Science. Earlier he earned there his MPhil and MA degrees and completed undergraduate studies at Harvard with an AB degree in Social Studies. Kabala’s research interest are broad and include the political and philosophical thought of Hobbes, Spinoza, St. Augustine, Rousseau, Machiavelli, as well as American Founding Fathers and the US Constitution. Dr. Kabala’s dissertation focused on politics and religion in Hobbes and Spinoza with implications for the present day.
