Abstract
A new simple methodology to synthesize NH4V3O8 has been reported in this paper. The reaction of NH4VO3 with I2 or Br2 under mild hydrothermal conditions prepares NH4V3O8. The title compound was characterized by element analysis, infrared spectrum, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrum, X‐ray powder pattern at room temperature, and thermal analysis was studied in the range of 28–800°C.
