Three platinum(II) complexes of amines(L) have been prepared and structurally characterized and activity determined, where L is triethylenediamine, hexamethylenetetramine or pyridine, respectively. Crystal structure of [Pt(C6H12N4)Cl2] · 3H2O was determined by X‐ray single analysis, indicating that it is a cis‐compound, and with the space group of C2/c, monoclinic, and a=27.540(2) Å, b=9.175(5) Å, c=9.996(3) Å, β=104.37(3)°, U=2447.1(2) Å3, Z=8, Dx=2.466 g cm−3. The result of antitumor activity assay indicated that these complexes inhibited the growth of several human solid carcinoma cell lines strongly.
