Abstract
A new thiocyanato-bridged dinuclear Schiff base copper(II) complex, [Cu2L2(μ1,1-NCS)2] (HL = 2,4-dibromo-6-[(2-methylam-inoethylimino)methyl]phenol), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Each copper atom in the complex is five-coordinated by one phenolic O, one imine N and one amine N atoms of a Schiff base ligand, and by two N atoms from two thiocyanate bridges, forming a square-pyramidal coordination.
