Abstract
A new porous coordination polymer [Cu(bpt)(pydc)] n· 2nCHCl 3 · nH 2 O (1) (bpt = 2,5-bis(4-pyridyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole and H2pydc = pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid) was synthesized by hydrothermal reaction and and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and X-ray diffraction. The center Cu(II) in complex 1 is linked by rigid pydc and bpt ligands to form square-grid-like corrugated sheets. The adjacent sheets are displaced by about one half of the polymer period along the direction of extension and stacked with iterative sequence of ABAB fashion.
