Abstract

The authors report the production of regular zincite nanospheres () in a single step, at room temperature using the macrocycle cucurbit[7]uril (CB[7]) as a clipping template in very small amounts. This procedure is the simplest way to obtain this semiconductor in such form and dimension directly from aqueous solutions of Zn(NO3)2.
