Two New Zn(II) Coordination Polymers Based on the 1,4-bis(1-imidazol-yl) -2,5-dimethyl Benzene and/or Dicarboxylate Ligands

Abstract

Two new coordination polymer [Zn(bib)₂(NO₃)₂]_n (1) and [Zn(nda)(bib)]_n (2) have been synthesized [bib = 1,4-bis(1-imidazol-yl) -2,5-dimethyl benzene and H₂nda = 1,4-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid] by hydrothermal synthesis and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, and element analysis. Complex 1 is a two-dimensional layer structure and complex 2 features a three-dimensional 2-fold pcu topological net.
