Chiral Bis(oxazoline)palladium(II) Complexes With 2,2′-methylenebis(4S,5R)-4,5-diphenyl-2-oxazoline as Ligand

Abstract

Chiral bis(oxazoline)palladium(II) complexes Pd[(4S,5R)-mbd poxo]Cl2·2MeCN (1) and Pd[(4S, 5R)-mbdpoxo](MeCN)2(SbF6)2 (2) were synthesized ((4S,5R)-mbdpoxo = 2,2′-methylenebis (4S,5R)-4,5-diphenyl-2-oxazoline) and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H, and 13C NMR spectra. The structure of complex 1 was determined by X-ray diffraction and the results show that it crystallizes in monoclinic space group P21 with a = 11.6278(16) Å, b = 8.2371(7) Å, c = 17.825(2) Å, β = 99.037(14)°, V = 1686.1(4) Å3 and Z = 2.
