Syntheses and Crystal Structure of Two Isomeric Zn(II) Coordination Polymers Based on the Dicarboxylate and Dipyridyl-Containing Coligands

Abstract

Two new coordination polymers, [Zn(BDC)(BPMP)]n (1) and [Zn(PTA)(BPMP)]n (2) (H2BDC = isophthalate, H2PTA = p-Phthalic acid and BPMP = 1,4-bis (3-pyridylmethyl)piperazine), have been prepared by hydrothermal synthesis and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, and EA. Complex 1 shows the two-dimensional (2D) layer structure. The 2D layers of 1 are further linked into three dimensional (3D) supramolecular networks by π…π stacking interactions. Complex 2 exhibits a 3D dia topological net.
