Abstract
Two new coordination polymers [Mn(Hoba)2(bib)2]n (1) and [Mn (bda) (bib)0.5]n (2) [H2oba = 2-(3-carboxyphenoxy)benzoic acid, H2bda = benzophenone- 2,4′- dicarboxylic acid and bib = 1,4-bis(1-imidazol-yl)-2,5-dimethyl benzene] were synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. Structure determination revealed that the complex 1 is a two-dimensional network—which further assembled into a three-dimensional framework via the intermolecular interactions. Complex 2 displays a two-dimensional layer structure based on the dinuclear Mn(II) units.
