Abstract
A new La(III) isophthalate, namely [La(mbdc)(Hmbdc)]n (1 H2mbdc = isophthalic acid), has been hydrothermally synthesized by the reactions of La(III) ions with isophthalic acid in a H2O solution. Single-crystal X-ray analysis reveals that 1 presents a complicated three-dimensional (3D) framework based on one-dimensional (1D) rod-shaped {La-COO} chains. Thermal analysis shows that 1 remains at high thermal stability until 350ºC.
