Abstract
One new coordination polymer {Co(2,5-PDC)(bimb)1.5]•4H2O}n (1) (2,5-PDC= 2,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid and bimb=1,4-bis(1-imidazol-yl)-2,5-dimethyl benzene) has been prepared by hydrothermal synthesis and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, and EA. Complex {Co(2,5-PDC)(bimb)1.5]•4H2O}n (1), is triclinic, space group P−1 with a = 10.744 (5) Å, b = 11.971 (5) Å, c = 13.304 (5) Å, α = 91.512 (5) °,β =111.418 (5)°,γ=106.334 (5)°,V =1512.6 (11) Å3, Z = 2, Mr = 653.54, Dc =1.435 g/cm3, F(000) = 680, and μ = 0.63 mm−1. The final refinement gave R = 0.0786 and wR = 0.1255 for 4100 reflections with I > 2σ(I). X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that complex 1 shows a (4,6)-connected three-dimensional (3D) structure with the (44.62).(48.67) point symbol.
