Abstract
A new Cd(II) coordination polymer with 1,3,5-tricarboxybenzene (H3BCT) and 1,4-bis(2-methylimidazol-1-yl)butane (bib) has been prepared by hydrothermal synthesis and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, and EA. The complex, {[Cd(BTC) (H2O)]·3(H2O) ·(bib)0.5}n (1), is monoclinic space group P21/n with a = 10.241 (5), b = 13.769 (5), c = 13.326 (5) (5) Å, β = 90.768 (5)°, V = 1878.9 (13) (13) Å3, Z = 4, Mr = 501.74, Dc =1.774g/cm3, F(000) = 1012, and µ = 1.220 mm−1. The final refinement gave R = 0.0234 and wR = 0.0282 for 3,461 reflections with I > 2σ(I). X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the complex 1 displays a rare (4,6)-connected rtl topological net.
