Synthesis, Structure, and Luminescent Property of a 1D Supramolecular Polymer

Abstract

A new complex, namely {[Zn(oba)(IP)]·0.5H₂O}_n (1) (H₂oba = 4,4′-oxybis(benzoic acid) and (IP = 1-H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]-phenanthroline), has been synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal diffraction analysis. The structural determination revealed that 1 has disparate 1-D chain motifs, which can be further linked into 2D layer via the π-π packing interactions. Furthermore, the 3D luminescent shows the emissive power and feature.
