Abstract
A few mixed ligand complexes of the type XX'Snl2 (where X = Cl, X' = S2 COCH3, S2COC3H7-i, S2COC4H9-n, HL = acetylacetone, benzoylacetone and dibenzoylmethane) have been prepared by the reaction of dichlorobis (β-diketonato)tin(IV) with sodium alkylxanthate in acetone under refluxing conditions. The new compounds, characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight measurements, IR and NMR (1H, 13C, 119Sn) spectral studies, depict a distorted octahedral coordination around tin(IV).
