Abstract
The new N, O donor ligands N-acetyl-N-furoyl (H2afh) and N-acetyl-N-thenoylhydrazines (H2ath) have been synthesized and characterized by melting point, analytical data and IR spectral studies. The complexes of the types M(L)2Cl2 [M = Mn(II), Ni(II), Zn(II); L = H2afh; M =Mn(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II), L = H2ath, M(L-H)Cl(H2O)2, [M = Co(II) and Cu(II), L = H2afh; M = Co(II), L = H2ath] and M(L-2H)(H2O)2 [M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II); L = H2afh and H2ath] have been synthesized and authenticated by analytical data, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility and spectroscopic methods.
