Abstract
Some new distorted trigonal bipyramidal complexes of dichlorobis (cyclopentadienyl) titanium (IV) and dichlorobis-(cyclopentadienyl) zirconium(IV) with N2S2 and S2O2 ligands derived from o-aminobenzenethiol have synthesised. A number of cyclisation reactions and addition reactions have been carried out on the complexes in order to study their effect on the stability of carbon-metal-carbon bonding and on metal ligand bonding behaviour. The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, conductance measurement, IR spectral and 1H NMR spectral studies.
