In this second issue of our tenth volume of the Journal of LGBT Issues in Counseling (JLGBTIC), we include three timely empirical studies, which are briefly introduced below. First, we want to share with you past-year logistical information related to the Journal's acceptance rate and submission review time. Manuscript acceptance rates are often used “in-house” to gauge if too many or too few manuscripts are being accepted. Additionally, some institutions take into consideration a journal's acceptance/rejection rates when evaluating educators as they move through the tenure and promotion process. Therefore, we thought it might be beneficial to share the JLGBTIC's acceptance rate. The past year (February 2015 to February 2016) acceptance rate for the JLGBTIC is 27.7 percent. During this time period, we received a total of 50 original manuscript submissions. Within this time period, the average turn-around time for manuscripts from submission to final decision is 90.3 days. We hope this information is beneficial to you.

In the current issue, three high-quality research studies are included. The first manuscript uses critical discourse analysis to explore how a counselor-in-training, who belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, became a LGB ally via a supervisory relationship. The second study uses quantitative methods to investigate the relationship between adverse childhood experiences and partner violence in same-sex female relationships. Lastly, a meta-analysis was utilized in the third study to explore wellness and distress in the LGBTQ communities.

After reading the articles, do not forget that you can complete the Continuing Education questions at the end of this issue in order to earn CEs.
