From the Editor

Thank you for taking time to explore this issue [15(1)] of the Journal of LGBTQ Issues in Counseling. This issue is packed full of articles focused on queer issues that are timely and relevant. The first article, written by Jennifer Gayowski and colleagues is a report of submission patterns of manuscripts submitted to the journal from 2006 to 2019. The second article is a qualitative article that explored the experiences of Transgender People of Color during their adolescent years. In the third article, May Kyi Zay Hta and colleagues examined factors that contribute to help-seeking behaviors or Malaysian young adults. In the fourth empirical article included in this issue, Alison Cerezo and Tiffany O’Shaughnessy, explored how sexually diverse women of color are influenced by self-stigma and how this stigma impacts psychological help seeking. The fifth article include in this issue, investigated the counseling experiences of LGBTQ + clients who had experienced trauma. In the sixth article, Kai Kline and Ashley Randall present findings from a study that examined the influence of internalized transphobia on gender congruence and sexual satisfaction among transgender men. The seventh article, a theoretical piece, applies existential therapy to understand and treat loneliness among LGBTQ + clients. The final article in this issue highlights how scholars may use bias-free language in accordance with the 7th edition of the APA Manual and provides resources for clinicians who work with LGBTQ + clients.

My hope is that these articles expand your competence to work with LGBTQ + clients and students. Do not forget that you may complete the Continuing Education (CE) questions at the end of this issue to receive CE credit.
