Responding to Unspeakable: Jacobs and Corpt on Embodiment and Metaphor

Abstract

The two commentaries approach metaphor and the unspeakable traumatic horrors from somewhat different perspectives. Jacobs brings the fine-tuned embodied awareness of the relational gestalt world that she integrates with an intersubjective systems view of the analyst's involvement. Corpt, both artist and psychoanalyst, both deepens the originally provided epigraphs and concepts of metaphor and provides a clinical illustration that itself embodies working with trauma through metaphor.

I due commenti avvicinano la metafora e gli indicibili orrori del trauma da prospettive alquanto diverse. Jacobs orienta la fine intonazione della consapevolezza incarnata verso il mondo inteso come gestalt relazionale, integrandola con una prospettiva intersoggettiva sistemica del coinvolgimento dell'analista. Jacobs bringt die fein abgestimmte Bewusstheit für die Verkörperung der relationalen Gestalt-Welt ein, die sie in die“ intersubjektive Sichtweise“ der Beteiligung der Analytikerin integriert. Corpt, die Künstlerin und Psychoanalytikerin ist, vertieft beides, die ursprünglich angebotene Sicht und das Konzept der Metapher und stellt uns ein klinisches Beispiel zur Verfügung, das seinerseits die Arbeit mit dem Trauma mithilfe von Metaphern verkörpert.

Jacobs aporta la conciencia corporizada bien sintonizada del mundo relacional que integra con la perspectiva de los sistemas intersubjetivos acerca de la implicación del analista. Corpt, que es artista y psicoanalista, profundiza los conceptos de la metáfora, y suministra una ilustración clínica que en si misma encarna el trabajo con el trauma a través de la metáfora.
