ABSTRACT

Seasonal variations of air temperature cause seasonal heat-transfer between tunnel airflow and surrounding rocks of coalmine tunnels. This study analyzed the distribution and evolution law of temperature in inhomogeneous surrounding rocks under varying ventilation cycle and airflow amplitude using a self-developed experimental simulation system of inhomogeneous surrounding rocks. The results show that under the periodically changing ventilation, the functional relationship between the temperature of the surrounding rock and ventilation time met the cosine function. The amplitude attenuation and fluctuation delay of temperature waves in surrounding rocks differ across various depths under the condition of periodic ventilation.
