2. The Roman Catholic Church dominates AIDS hospice care, the Candomble and Umbanda Traditions dominate HIV prevention to marginalized communities, and the Evangelical church dominates HIV prevention for drug users (see Muñoz-Laboy et al. Citation2011).

Jill Olivier is a Senior Lecturer and Research Coordinator at the University of Cape Town in the School of Public Health and Family Medicine, Health Policy and Systems Division. She is the Director of the International Religious Health Assets Programme (IRHAP) and holds a PhD in Development Sociology.

Sally Smith is a Senior Community Mobilization Adviser for faith-based organizations in UNAIDS. Having worked for 16 years in Nepal with a faith-based organization and 12 years in UNAIDS in community mobilization and civil society partnerships, she now has overall responsibility for UNAIDS liaison with faith-based organizations and religions.
